We contracted Chris to remove masonry paint from the house we bought in August 2020. The damage to the brickwork and internal walls from paint containing plastic is as a result of solid walls being unable to breathe – a must for most Victorian buildings. Chris provided a detailed consultation in which we discussed our needs and wants for the building prior to the work commencing. It was then that we talked about concerns about the potential harshness of abrasive cleaning to the brickwork and he assured us of the measures he would take to ensure that the material he uses would be adjusted to minimise any damage. In addition to this, he carried out a test on two separate parts of our house checking for the differences between the brickwork around the building.
We are delighted with the outcome of the work and the professionalism with which is was undertaken. Chris has high standards both in the job he is doing and in the way he cleans up after the work is complete. I know we will be using him again for other work we have still to do in and around our property.

Extremely good service, Chris was able to do a very sensitive restoration of smoke damaged brickwork and heavily charred beam on my inglenook fireplace following a house fire. He arrived on time and although the process does create a lot of dust, the floors were protected by tarpaulins and he did an excellent job of clearing up afterwards. I am very happy with the result.

Chris has just spent a happy few days removing the most atrocious paint from our wooden summer house. After a few tests he decided on a method that would be best suited to the task and proceeded to do a marvellous job with lots of attention to the final, and more detailed, nooks and crannies that certainly can’t have been easy to get to or to remove. We have recently used CJK blasting to remove paint from the exterior of our property. Over the years the house has been painted using various paints which over time have started peeling off and damaging the bricks and mortar underneath. Chris came along on a couple of days initially to test out the best method of removing the paint and discuss our requirements before giving us an idea of what he would do. Once this was confirmed we talked about a date and all met with a scaffolding company. We have had walls sand blasted and steam blasted to remove the paint. Chris works methodically and meticulously and keeps you informed along the way. This was a messy job cleared up on a daily basis. We would have no hesitation in recommending Chris.
